Happy New Year, Freelancers!
Yeah, I know, it’s September not January, but if you’re anything like me, it’s time for a new year. School is starting (FINALLY!) and the kids are out the door, so now it’s time to get busy! What are you doing to revamp your freelance schedule?
I’ve got a few things on the list- I will finally have time to blog again and that’s at the top of the list. I’m getting a series ready on how to find freelance jobs, so if you are looking for some new places to search for work (or you have some great ideas of your own) check in over the next few days and I will share some of my favorite spots to seek out new clients. ( Better yet, look over there to the left and subscribe so you don’t miss anything!)
I’m working on some ventures off line as well- delving a little more into print media challenges. I love writing for the Internet, but there’s just something about being able to pick up a magazine and read your published words that makes my little heart go pitter patter, so we’ll talk a bit about that as well.
Finally, I really need to get back into the social media world. My Twitter time has all but evaporated over the last few months, so I am looking forward to getting back into my morning routine in the Twitterverse as well. ( In fact, I’m getting ready to do a little coaching with none other than John Haydon on how to boost my social media presence, so maybe I can snitch an idea or two and share it. (Really, John, just kidding!) What I meant was, you should all check out John’s blog and learn from him as well Or, hook up with a little coaching of your own! . Technically, John specializes in non-profits, but have you seen my check book after this summer??Connecting with the folks who are experts is the fastest possible way to learn something, so cut your learning curve a bit and get hooked up!!
OK, back to celebrating the holiday weekend here in the US for me, so I will see you on the other side of Monday- for NEW YEAR”S DAY (the official first day of school here!!) WOO HOO!
Teresa
